Katy has been a therapist for 8 years. She is certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Alternatives for Families Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (AF-CBT). Katy is also a Credentialed Sexually Abusive Youth Clinician (CSAYC). Katy has training in other therapy approaches and believes in exploring physical conditions that contribute to mental wellness.
Katy has a bachelor's degree from Indiana University, Bloomington and a Masters in Social Work from the University of Maryland. Her prior work has been in child-welfare as a home-based therapist for adults, children, and families. Katy has also seen adults in an office setting since 2019 and started video sessions in 2020.
